Application scenario: Hydraulic cylinder (oil cylinder) sealing

·Seal combination: This is a complete "sealing system" that includes:

·Main seal (piston seal): withstands the working pressure of the system and prevents pressure oil from leaking from one side to the other (internal leakage).

·Guiding support ring: prevents the piston from coming into contact with the cylinder metal, reducing friction and wear.

·Rod seal (dust ring+main rod seal+dust scraper ring): prevents oil leakage and scrapes off pollutants brought back by the piston rod.

·Key materials: Polyurethane (PU), nitrile rubber (NBR), or high-performance polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) composite materials are commonly used.

·Real case: Excavator boom oil cylinder

·Scenario: Excavators operate continuously in mines, with oil cylinders subjected to huge impact loads and dust environments.

·Failure consequences: If the main seal of the piston wears out and causes internal leakage, it will be manifested as weak and sinking of the boom (commonly known as "arm drop"), and the excavator will not be able to operate normally, resulting in a sharp drop in efficiency. If the piston rod seal fails and causes leakage, the hydraulic oil will pollute the environment and may lead to insufficient oil, causing pump damage and other chain failures.
